ong recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology that would allow the varsity’s’ students and faculty members to enjoy the telecom company’s’ fastest 4G services. More than 4,000 students and scores of faculty members would benefit from Zongs’ high-powered internet services. Sharing his views, Zong’s Regional Director Naeem Ahmad said the telecom company’s prioritized focus was to equip the youth of Pakistan with latest technological tools to polish their skills and abilities on digitalized lines.
He said under the Zong’s Youth Programme, the students were being provided mobile phones, SIMs and fastest 4G internet services at extremely affordable rates. “This is not enough, we have started remarkable projects that would help the students in academics and research. In this regard, we are setting up digitized research laboratories. We will help the students in pursuing and materializing their dreams.” Rector Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology Dr. Suleman Din Muhammad said the importance of connectivity cannot be ignored in the present era.
“In present times, it has become inevitable for educational institutions to be in contact with the industry. Social media, email, video phone, video conference and other applications have been synthesized in mobile phone. Apart from mobile manufacturing companies, mobile SIMs and internet services providers have played an important role in this regard. Zong has been rated as Pakistan’s fastest telecom service. We want that students effectively use mobile and internet for the development of education and research. This will provide an opportunity to interact with other universities worldwide and benefit from their research work.”
