Zong has partnered with Pakistan’s leading educational institute, LUMS, to provide Dedicated Internet Services and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) Solution.
Dedicated Internet Services or Dedicated Internet Access (DIA) is designed for businesses which have greater internet capacity requirements. DIA provides secure and high-speed internet services and specified amount of bandwidth to the firms. The service is synchronous which means the upload and download speeds are same.

Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) is virtualization technology that involves running a desktop operating system on a centralized server in a data center. Each user is allotted a dedicated virtual machine that runs on a separate OS. This flexibility gives them partial administration rights to install or uninstall an application.
A contract signing ceremony was attended by the management of Zong and LUMS. Zong has also set up a mini customer service center at LUMS recently. This service center facilitates the students and faculty members to avail the latest offers and high-speed 4G services of Zong. Zong also established an advanced 4G research lab at the University.
Zong is the leading Telecom service provider with over 2.8 Million 4G subscribers and 4G coverage in over 300 cities of Pakistan. The company plans to invest over $200 Million for network expansion in Pakistan.
