The young aspiring fresh graduates across Pakistan will have the opportunity to gain professional training and a chance of becoming part of Pakistan’s leading cellular network with the commencement of Zong’s Graduate Trainee Programme (GTP).
GTP, a distinctive and unparalleled programme ever to be offered in Pakistan’s telecom history, aims to select talented graduates from different universities every year.
Sharing her views on the launch of GTP 2016, Zong’s Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) Ms. Wang Haibo says “The Graduate Trainee Programme is one-of-a-kind initiative in the telecom industry. Through this programme, we wish to nurture future leaders for Zong. We take pride in promoting a learning culture through which we coach the young talent to become indispensable resources. The development of the GTOs has been the hallmark of the Human Resources team at Zong. The GTOs are given opportunities to interact with the leaders of the organization, assigned mentors and taken through rigorous trainings including but not limited to Leadership & Self Development, Corporate Acumen, Campus to Corporate and other technical as well as behavioral trainings.
Last year, alone, we inducted 88 young graduates in different domains and departments and we take pride in their development and success. We are excited to see another batch of enthusiastic young graduates making their way to Zong”.
The selection process of GTP follows a thorough evaluation and screening of students having graduated from leading Institutions. Campus drives are conducted in coordination with the University’s placement offices to ensure that talent reaches its rightful destination and graduates are given a fair opportunity to compete on merit. Each candidate goes through a rigorous recruitment process consisting of aptitude tests, interviews and a competitive assessment center conducted by the Zong HR team. After this selection, the training activities continue for 1.5 years in which GTOs are placed into multiple job rotations.
