We may soon be able to comment on Google search results as per the recent findings by 9to5Google in an APK analysis of the latest Google app. This feature will first be implemented on live sports games but it may be possible that the feature is extended to other products as well. Recently Google introduced audience reviews for movies search results and this feature is pretty much on the same lines.
This discovery was made in the Your Contributions panel in the Google app. You can see a screenshot below:
There is also a detailed help page from Google which specifies how your comments will appear in search. All comments are public and your name that appears on the About me page will be used to identify you over there. You can like, dislike and report other comments, which is the basic functionality available across all commenting systems.
The new comments feature is probably coming because of the fact that Google Plus is being killed off and Google intends to engage users directly on the search pages. The comment sections will add interactivity to the search results considering the fact users will get to share their own opinion about a particular product or service directly on Google.
Do you think there should be a commenting feature on Google search results?
