Microsoft is bringing a new update for Windows 10’s Mail app that supports inking capabilities which let you write an email with a stylus. The new update will be rolled out in coming months.
Microsoft first thought about introducing digital inking in Windows 10 a year after the operating shipped and now the feature is almost here. You can now write an entire email with a stylus if you like, the feature that was not present in Windows 10 for three years now.
There are lots of pen options and colours with this new feature including a highlighter and an eraser. Moreover, you can also press on the (+) icon for more drawings and inkings in the emails. The feature will be introduced with Microsoft’s next major Windows 10 update, currently codenamed Redstone 5. Microsoft is expected to make this update available in September this year, and the company is getting close to finalizing this feature.
Back in 2017, Microsoft added some Fluent Design elements to Windows 10 which mainly included Perspective parallax, Conscious controls, Connected animations, and few more. Recently, it introduced a new screenshot tool for the OS and now it seems the company is bringing more such Fluent Design elements as the firm showcased plenty of upcoming design features for Windows 10.
Microsoft has been expanding its platform rapidly particularly since the start of 2018. Recently, we reported to you that Microsoft has acquired a social learning app Flipgrid that utilizes short video clips to make effective lesson plans for students all around the world. And, in the start of June Microsft also acquired GitHub in a $7.5 billion full-stock deal that will close later this year.
