Xiaomi’s new Mint browser is now on Google Play store

Android users have a plethora of options when it comes to selecting a mobile browser, from Firefox focus to Opera Mini to Google Chrome, all provide some sort of ease to the user. Well, the users now have one more option, Xiaomi has just dropped its Mint browser on the Google play store.
Xiaomi is renowned for selling a lot of mid-range phones and mostly a lot of those phones have mid-range specs so it’s only logical that the Mint browser features low memory footprint, with a sub-10 MB package size. Other than providing a light-weight browser with data compression, the browser further packs most of the features similar to any other famous browser. Features like tabbed browsing, incognito mode, voice search, and reading mode are also featured in this browser.

It’s really impressive how Xiaomi’s mint browser balances functionality with size, however, there is a downside to this. If you’re an MIUI user, then you must be aware of the fact that MIUI is plagued with ads, in fact, Xiaomi’s own CEO has said this on multiple occasions that using ads in their mobile skin is part of their business model. Looking at Xiaomi’s trajectory with MIUI and their TVs, the company has begun inserting ads into the menu systems, so it won’t be surprising to see ads plaguing Xioami’s Mini browser.
