Xiaomi unveils special edition for its Mi A1

The 5th largest smartphones manufacturer around the world, Xiaomi has unveiled the latest edition for Xiaomi Mi A1. The new special edition is coming in red color. Xiaomi Mi A1 which was launched back in September is a competitive smartphone for the mid-range market segment.

The Special Edition Red of the Mi A1 has similar specs and features like the regular Mi A1, as reported on GizmoChina. However, the Chinese smartphone giant has added a new color to the phone model making it four in total including black, gold, rose gold, and red.

Xiaomi Mi A1 features a 5.5-inch FHD display with 1080 x 1920 screen resolution. The device is powered by Snapdragon 625 chipset on octa-core 2GHz CPU. The device has a 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. However, the phone supports expandable storage of 256GB capacity via a microSD card.

The Mi A1 furnishes a dual camera setup on the back. The 12MP rear camera sensors are capable of taking a wide angle as well as telephoto snaps. A 5MP front camera is there for selfie lovers. The phone has a 3080mAH battery powering the device. The phone currently runs on Android Nougat 7.0 and is supposed to get energy from Oreo very soon.

Xiaomi has followed the ongoing vogue of the giving special colors to special editions like the Samsung’s S8 in Burgundy Red and OnePlus 5T’s Star Wars Edition. Let’s wait and see what miracle this specs loaded and budget-friendly Mi A1 will do in emerging markets.

The Mi A1 has a price of $215 and will be only available for Indonesia for now. However, it is unclear when Xiaomi is going to launch this special edition in other countries.
