Xiaomi Su7 Sets New Delivery Benchmarks In Less Than A Year

In just nine months since its launch, Xiaomi’s SU7 electric sedan has achieved an impressive milestone of 130,000 units sold in China. This remarkable performance surpasses the brand’s revised annual delivery target, reflecting the strong demand and success of the vehicle in the Chinese market.

Xiaomi SU7 Hits 130,000 Deliveries

Launched on March 28, 2023, with a price range of 215,900-229,900 yuan ($29,600-$31,500), the SU7 grabbed attention after only 27 minutes of its introduction, having secured 50,000 orders. Xiaomi increased production despite early setbacks, and by June, the company was producing 20,000 units per month. The car’s remarkable delivery pace was greatly enhanced by this bump.

In its first month of sales, the SU7 delivered 10,000 units, marking its first milestone. A total of 130,000 vehicles were delivered by December 28th, with an additional 90,000 units delivered over the subsequent 198 days, bringing the total to 130,000 vehicles delivered in 45 days. According to China EV DataTracker, Xiaomi sold 16,328 units in December, which is quite an accomplishment considering the car was only released a year ago.

On December 28, 2023, Xiaomi also celebrated the one-year anniversary of the SU7’s formal launch. To keep up with rising demand, the business intends to launch its second-phase vehicle facility in 2024. Furthermore, in 2025, Xiaomi will launch the three-motor SU7 Ultra sedan and the Xiaomi YU7 crossover, both of which are anticipated to strengthen the brand’s position in the local electric vehicle industry.
