Xiaomi is currently the 5th largest smartphone manufacturer worldwide. The Chinese giant started off roughly 8 years ago and within a short period, it has managed to gain a significant share of the consumer electronics market.
Well, after succeeding in the smartphone and accessories’ realms, Xiaomi has diversified yet again. They revealed the new Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S a few days back during a ceremony in Shanghai. But, the Mix 2S was not the only thing being debuted. The first glimpse of the Mi Gaming Laptop was seen at the ceremony as well.
The notebook does have any branding on its lid, which makes it appropriate for use in both office and home-gaming environments. It boasts a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card along with 15.6 inches 1080p Full HD display. It is equipped with an Intel Core-i7 7700HQ chipset along with 16 GB of DDR4 RAM. In terms of storage, the notebook comes with a 256 GB NVMe SSD together with a 1 TB HDD.
The notebook has a gaming keyboard as well which is backlit by 16 million lights. The speaker setup is tuned by Dolby Atmos.
The notebook has big heat pipes, a 12v cooling fan, and four fan outlets. The notebook also has four USB 3.0 ports, two USB Type-C ports, Ethernet and an HDMI out port.
The main problem is that the Mi Laptop has only been announced for China. It will be available in Chinese markets starting from 13 April for roughly RMB 9000, which is the equivalent of $1400.
