Xiaomi Redmi Note 4/4X is one of the most popular devices by Xiaomi and it is no wonder that the device is getting a lot of ported ROMs. Developers have now successfully ported the Xiaomi Mi A1 Android One ROM to the Redmi Note 4.
Xiaomi Mi A1 is the first Android One phone from Xiaomi. Android One phones come with pure Android and they get regular and fast updates directly from Google. Android One phones come with mid-range specifications and price tag and provide the pure Android experience on a budget.
Some developers at XDA have successfully ported the Android One ROM of the Mi A1 on the Redmi Note 4. So if you are a Note user, you can enjoy the pure Android experience on your device. This is the 2nd Xiaomi phone to get the ported version of Mi A1 ROM, previously, developers also successfully ported the ROM for the Xiaomi Mi 5X. Mi A1 is based on Mi 5X so it was easier for developers to quickly port the ROM.
There is one thing to keep in mind that the ported ROM comes with a lot of bugs for now. Some of the known bugs include the malfunctioning fingerprint sensor and non-responsive camera app. So if you want to try the ROM, make sure you can handle these bugs.
Xiaomi Redmi 4 is one of the most popular phones from the company and Xiaomi sold literally millions of these devices. It was also the most sold phone in the Xiaomi 2 day sale in India in which the company sold over a million phones in 2 days. And not to forget that the company sold over 10 million phones in the month of September alone. Xiaomi has a market share of around 20% in India and it is expecting to sell over 90 million phones this year.
You can download the ported ROM from XDA official website.
