During a media event in China today, Xioami has launched a 5.5 incher Redmi Pro, priced within the budget zone, which sports a Deca-Core processor and dual camera setup at the rear.
Redmi Pro, the latest budget product in the Redmi range, has a 5.5-inch Full HD OLED display, 4GB of RAM, 128 GB of storage, and a 4050mAh battery, all of which are massive, to say the least. It also has a fingerprint reader for bio-metrics.
However, the features which make this mobile different from rest are the Deca-Core processor, the dual cameras at the rear, and the accompanying budget-friendly price tag.
Redmi Pro sports the MediaTek Helio X20 SoC which offers 10 operational cores. Two of these cores can process threads at the rate of 2.5GHz, four at 2.0GHz, and the other four at 1.5GHz.
As far as the camera setup is concerned, smartphone’s rear has a main 13MP camera (Sony IMX 258) which further has been augmented by a 5MP secondary camera. A field image processor joins the two cameras and gives additional quality to the picture.
The Xiaomi Redmi Pro has been priced at PKR 23,000. While it is still unclear when it would start shipping to markets all over the world, it is set to hit Chinese stores on August 8.
