SAHIWAL: In a shocking incident, a woman was allegedly shot to death by her elder brother for frequently using her mobile phone at Chak 31/14-L.
The victim, identified as Sana Kousar had been married to Nadeem Ali of Kamalia but sought a divorce and went back to her father’s house. Reports indicated that her brother named Aon , often confronted her about her phone usage, attempting to restrict her access to the device.
Sana was on a phone call on the day of the incident; an altercation arose between her and Aon pertaining to the use of the mobile phone. In a fit of rage, Aon reportedly fired a pistol shot at his sister before he escaped from the scene.
Authorities from Shah Kot Police have taken Sana’s dead body for postmortem to Sahiwal Teaching Hospital. A murder case has been filed against Aon due to a report lodged by their father Kousar Abbas. Police continue look for the suspect after launch of the investigation.
