Microsoft has announced the release date for Windows 10 which will be available through retail stores on July 29th, 2015. The upgrade to Windows 10 will be free for all Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 users. Windows 10 will be available for both downloading and purchasing on the release date.
Windows 10 will bring back the Start button, which was omitted in Windows 8 but brought back in the Windows 8.1 update. Windows 10 will be the last version as Microsoft wants to focus on making its products available as Software as a service (SAAS) in the future.

Windows 10 will offer multiple new features for the OS such as its digital assistant Cortana; a brand new Edge browser; the Xbox app and integrated Xbox Live service for PCs; Windows Hello, its biometric login service; the Windows Continuum transition between PC and tablet; and the Windows Store.
