Apple is set to release the iPhone SE 4 in March 2024, introducing several enhancements over its predecessor, the iPhone SE (2022). These upgrades aim to provide users with a more modern and efficient device at an accessible price point.
The iPhone SE 4 is expected to feature a 6.1-inch OLED display, aligning with the screen size and resolution of the iPhone 14. This transition from the previous 4.7-inch LCD will offer users improved visual quality and a more immersive viewing experience. The device is also anticipated to adopt a design similar to the iPhone 14, including the removal of the physical Home button, resulting in a sleeker and more contemporary appearance.
A significant advancement for the iPhone SE 4 is its compatibility with Apple Intelligence, Apple’s suite of AI-driven features. This integration will allow features like improved Siri, smart photo organization and more intelligent user experience. For these features, it is believed that iPhone SE 4 will be powered by the A18 Bionic chip and will have 8GB RAM to offer the best performance and efficiency.
The device is anticipated to have a 48MP rear camera, which is twice the capacity of the current model with a 12MP snapper. This improvement will increase the image and video quality to make the iPhone SE 4 perform almost at the same level as the pricier versions of iPhones. Also, the front-facing camera will expand to 12MP for better quality in selfies and for video calls.
To address battery life concerns, the iPhone SE 4 is anticipated to feature a larger battery, potentially around 3,279mAh, similar to the one in the iPhone 14. This increase is supposed to lead to longer lasting performance meaning users will be able to use the device all day without having to recharge it several times.
The iPhone SE 4 is rumored to be the first iPhone to utilize Apple’s in-house 5G and Wi-Fi modem, known as ‘Centauri’. This development will improve the linkage, and provide higher speed and better quality of internet connection as well as less dependence on the third-party suppliers such as Qualcomm. People should be able to find that their power consumption is reduced when it comes to mobile data and Wi-Fi connectivity.
The iPhone SE 4 is also expected to mimic the iPhone 14 design, boasting of a 6.1-inch OLED screen and a conventional Face ID notch. It is expected that the chassis will include flat edges and a USB-C port, instead of the lightning port. It is also thought that the device will boast an IP68 rating for water and dust, which will make it useful in different climates.
With these anticipated upgrades, the iPhone SE 4 is poised to offer a compelling option for users seeking a budget-friendly iPhone that doesn’t compromise on performance or features. The integration of advanced technologies and enhancements in display, camera, battery life, and connectivity positions the iPhone SE 4 as a noteworthy contender in the smartphone market.
