The social messaging app, WhatsApp in an interesting turn of events has rolled out two updates for its users. New updates include changing the font style of a word and finding emojis in the app with much ease. The company has made these changes to let its users work fast on its platform.
It is to be noted here that these new features are only available to Android users, iOS users have to wait for these updates. The company has not officially announced when it will be releasing these updates for its iOS users.
At first, users were obliged to use (*) to bold a word or (_) for italicize a word, but now with this new update one just need to long press on the word and the option to bold or italicize a word pops up.
Moving forward, the Facebook-owned company has also given out an emoji search option. Users can write any word in it such as cat after the word is written the search option will then give relevant suggestion to users.
The company has also previously announced that it is updating its platform so that users can send any type of file. As of now, users can only send files such as PDFs, Word documents, spreadsheets, and slides, however, soon the users can send different files as well such as APKs files.
Apart from these updates, the social messaging app has once again extended support for BlackBerry as rumors were circulating on social media platforms that WhatsApp was going to withdraw its support for Blackberry which includes the BlackBerry 10 and BlackBerry Operating System (BBOS).
