WhatsApp to launch verified business account soon

WhatsApp rolls out new updates every now and then to let its users use its platform with much ease. Now the company has announced that it is testing a new communication feature which will allow users to communicate with business companies such as banks, airplanes etc through its platform for queries and feedback. The company will soon launch a green tick badge to indicate that this is a verified business account. WhatsApp as of now has released this update in beta version for some users to check whether this feature is feasible or not.

The new feature will be launched on both Android and iOS version of company’s smartphone application. Messaging app in a post said, “WhatsApp is exploring ways for you to communicate with the businesses that matter to you. Some business accounts have been verified by WhatsApp. If you see a green badge next to a contact’s name, it means that WhatsApp has confirmed that the phone number of this contact belongs to a business account.”

Moreover, apart from verifying with a green tick badge that this account is verified, users will also have another way to check whether a business account is verified by the company or not and that another way is to “spot message with yellow background inside its chat” which says that this account has been verified by the company as business/standard account.

Furthermore, if a user has saved the number of a business company with a specific name in the address book then the user will see the name in the chat box. However, if a user has not saved the name of the company in the address book then he/she will see the name the company has opted for itself.

It would be worth mentioning here that users at any time can block business contacts so that they won’t contact you in future.
