WhatsApp update 2.17.1 for iOS users brings improvements such as offline message queuing, bulk media sharing and managing storage.
iOS users can now queue their messages when they do not have an internet connection or a spotty one. Once the connection is regained, the queued messages will be automatically sent.
This option is already available for Android devices but the send button was disabled for iOS users whenever they were offline.
The new update allows bulk media sharing. iOS users can now send up to 30 photos or videos at once. The option for Android users is still limited to 10.
Finally, WhatsApp has also redesigned “Storage Usage” section. Users can go to Settings>Data and Storage Usage> Storage Usage (at the bottom) and then tap on messages, chats, videos etc, which are occupying more space and just clear them to free up some space on their phones.
