When it comes to Android messaging apps, WhatsApp stands out as one of the best. Despite being a long-standing player in the market, it continues to provide a secure and dependable chatting experience, excelling in both voice and video calls. To maintain its leading position and stay ahead of the competition, the app has consistently evolved, introducing new features and enhancements over time.
So, the best way to see what new features are coming soon is to join the WhatsApp beta. Therefore, it appears that the beta is getting a new feature that lets users search Google for photographs that are shared in chat.
This update was initially reported by WABetaInfo. The feature is now available in beta version 2.24.23.13. This feature is simple and provides a little convenience for those who are particularly interested in photographs.
The beta version of this feature requires users to pick a shared image before they can access the Search on Web option; this is accessible through the three dots menu in the top right corner. Users can then choose to search for the image on Google from this page.
This is mainly Google’s image search, which is easy to get to inside the app. The value of this feature is highly dependent on the individuals using it and the reasons behind its need. It’s merely an extra convenience, and that’s perfectly fine.
It is currently in beta and may never make it into the public version. If you’re interested in giving it a try, you can always sign up for the beta when it becomes available. Or, if you are currently in the beta, you can view it in progress by updating to the most recent version.
According to WABetaInfo, not all beta users have access to this just yet, but more users will be added in the next weeks. Keep waiting if you haven’t seen it yet. If you haven’t tried WhatsApp yet and wish to, you can do so by downloading it from the Google Play store.
