With a simple click, WhatsApp users will be able to translate their messages into multiple languages. This translation tool is currently under development for individual chats. Every incoming message in a chat can be translated, or users can choose to translate just a few messages.
The folks at WABetaInfo have also provided a visual representation of the feature with a screenshot.
The screenshot clearly demonstrates that the live translation feature is compatible with channel updates in addition to individual and group discussions. A number of options, including the language into which WhatsApp translates messages, will be available to you.
When it first launches, WhatsApp will probably only support a limited number of languages, like the majority of live translation abilities. This means that it won’t be able to translate messages into Urdu immediately, but maybe it will be able to help Pakistani users too in the future.
This feature is designed to help WhatsApp users worldwide overcome language barriers. Initially, it will likely support English and a few other languages, but as more languages are added, it will eventually be available to everyone.
But remember that this feature is currently in development, so not everyone has access to it just yet. The release date of the stable version with this functionality is also unknown at this time.
