What to expect from Huawei Mate 20 launch?

After appearing in a series of leaks, Huawei Mate 20 devices are about to be unveiled.

What is being termed as Huawei’s take on Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and Google Pixel 3 XL, Mate 20 is expected to pack sophisticated technology in a larger phone.

While it seems that Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro will share similar specifications and design elements, it is highly likely that the Pro will have a greater amount of RAM and storage which will result in a pricier tag. The phones are also expected to boast a large screen and the Pro version might have a screen of whopping 6.9 inches. The display is also likely to have an edge-to-edge design with an iPhone X like notch at the top. The color variations of the device will come with a gradient finish in black, blue, and twilight options.

Mate 20 Pro’s most interesting feature will be its camera. The Mate 20 leaks also indicate that the phones integrate a square camera unit on the back. The unit sports three separate camera lenses along with a flash under the Leica branding. Since according to tumors, Mate 20 Pro will come with AI Cinema, AI Zoom, and an underwater mode. The aperture size of the camera will be f/1.8 to f/2.4 equipped with a 5x optical zoom.

Another leak indicated that the Mate 20 might pack an in-display fingerprint scanner. It is also rumored that the devices will have two-way wireless charging that will allow users to hold a charging device against Mate 20 to take charge of the mobile device.

According to an official announcement by Huawei, the Mate 20 Pro device will have its top-end processor, the latest Kirin 980. It is unsure if Mate 20 will pack the same processor. The phone is expected to come with Android Pie pre-installed.
