The technology sector in Pakistan has gone through an evolution in the past decade. E-commerce is booming, mobile internet penetration has risen after 4G and convenience & usage of mobile apps ordering services, whether it is to order food or rides, has increased immensely.

The need for connectivity is no longer a luxury, but a necessity. We have seen how it became a part of our daily routines, whether it is work or social life, and has enabled the common man to have access to a multitude of economic opportunities.

The growth in broadband internet has ultimately paved the way for further expansions in multiple industries, not only in organizations but also among entrepreneurs, providing ease and convenience in communication as well as other services to the general public. The availability of broadband and online services in virtually every corner of the country is primarily due to the efforts made by the government in collaboration with the private sector. One of the major players in this spell of growth has been the Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL), the country’s largest telecommunication company.

For businesses, the organization offers enterprise-grade platforms such as Smart Cloud, Tier-3 Certified Data Centers, Managed Services and Satellite Services, all of which have been designed to meet the connectivity needs of businesses within the country and enable them to operate more efficiently. It is through these efforts that PTCL is working towards providing a digital lifestyle, along with innovative telecom services to the businesses in Pakistan.

At present, PTCL continues with its commitment towards digitization by transforming 13 more exchanges in 7 cities as part of its Network Transformation Project (NTP), after already completing 63 exchanges throughout the country. The company endeavors to provide its customers with faster and more reliable internet through PTCL’s enhanced copper network along with the new fiber network, giving speeds which were not possible earlier.
