The growth in broadband internet has ultimately paved the way for further expansions in multiple industries, not only in organizations but also among entrepreneurs, providing ease and convenience in communication as well as other services to the general public. For years, the organization has stressed on the need to bring state-of-the-art technologies and solutions in order to facilitate the digital transformation of the Pakistani society. For this reason, PTCL has made major investments and efforts in connecting the nation from Gilgit to Gwadar and Khyber to Karachi through its network. Being the carrier of carriers, PTCL is a member of four international submarine cable consortiums, that is AAE-1, SMW-3, SMW-4 & IMEWE, and handles the majority of the data traffic coming in and going out of Pakistan.
Currently, the largest fixed-line network of the country, PTCL offers a variety of quality products and services, including high-speed broadband internet, CharJi wireless internet, SmartTV service and over-the-top (OTT) applications such as the SmartTV App, Touch App. The organization also took the initiative to bring Netflix to Pakistan, enabling customers to easily pay for Netflix subscriptions as part of their monthly PTCL broadband bills, eliminating the need to share additional credit card or debit card details.
For businesses, the organization offers enterprise-grade platforms such as Smart Cloud, Tier-3 Certified Data Centers, Managed Services and Satellite Services, all of which have been designed to meet the connectivity needs of businesses within the country and enable them to operate more efficiently. It is through these efforts that PTCL is working towards providing a digital lifestyle, along with innovative telecom services to the businesses in Pakistan.
At present, PTCL continues with its commitment towards digitization by transforming 13 more exchanges in 7 cities as part of its Network Transformation Project (NTP), after already completing 63 exchanges throughout the country. The company endeavors to provide its customers with faster and more reliable internet through PTCL’s enhanced copper network along with the new fiber network, giving speeds which were not possible earlier. Through such initiatives, it is expected that the organization will continue to transform and innovate for superior customer experience.
