WeTransfer, a file transferring service, announced that its free plan would now only allow 10 transfers per month. The support website states that the corporation is already putting the new user restriction into effect.
WeTransfer’s Free plan offers several noteworthy enhancements. Premium features, such as limitless portals, file evaluations, and password security on all transfers, are now available to free users.
The platform will also allow up to 3GB file sizes, up from the previous 2GB limit. Additionally, free users will be able to send up to 10 transfers and share up to 3GB of files each month, without any fees on paid transfers. Despite these new additions, the Free plan remains 100% free to use.
WeTransfer is also introducing WeTransfer Starter, a brand-new plan designed for users who need a bit more power without breaking the bank. Starter, which costs just $6.99 a month, is designed for those who transfer big files sometimes but don’t need all the capabilities that more expensive plans have to offer. In addition to having access to many of the more sophisticated features included in the Free plan, starter users will benefit from a greater monthly upload limit of 300GB as opposed to the Free plan’s 3GB restriction.
WeTransfer has combined its previous Pro and Premium plans into WeTransfer Ultimate, a single, all-inclusive package for those who want the best file-sharing features. Power users who transfer big files daily are the target audience for this unlimited plan. The same benefits of the previous Premium plan, such as limitless transfers and file sizes, will still be available to Ultimate subscribers.
Beginning in December 2024, all customers may now access these new plans. WeTransfer has updated its Pricing page with comprehensive information to assist consumers in choosing the best package.
The company is developing several new features to enhance the user experience on the web and mobile devices. In the next year, users can anticipate an even more dependable and intuitive platform.
