LAHORE: Lahore’s air pollution levels showed significant improvement over the weekend, with the overall Air Quality Index (AQI) reaching 312.
However, there has been minimal improvement, and Lahore remains the second most polluted city globally. According to additional research on the city’s AQI distribution, the most contaminated region was Gulberg (501), then DHA Phase III (483) and Canal Road (324).

Over the weekend, the air quality index in Multan was 208. The health situation created by smog has been life-threatening, with approximately 150000 individuals admitted to hospitals in Punjab in less than one month.
Around 7,165 people in Lahore were affected by smog in just one week, highlighting the urgency of taking action to address the city’s air pollution.
