Wafaqi Mohtasib will launch a mobile application where citizens can lodge their complaints simply through a few taps. A team from National Information Technology Board (NITB) gave a briefing regarding the new application to Federal Ombudsman Syed Tahir Shahbaz regarding how a complainant will be able to file a complaint easily through the app.
For those of you who don’t know, Wafaqi Mohtasib is a committee consisting of public advocates who can help resolve your grievances regarding Federal Government institutions. By simplifying the process of complaint filing, citizens would be able to get their issues addressed in a more efficient manner.
The app will allow the complainant to file the complaint using pictures of the written complaint or documents pertaining to it. Users of the app would also be able to check the status of their complaint to see if any action has been taken or not. The app was developed because the President of Pakistan wished that the process of complaint filing and redressal of grievances be done in a smoother manner.
The President is expected to launch this mobile app for the general public soon.
