Vivo releases Y95 in Pakistan with a giant battery and an AI selfie camera

The smartphone market in Pakistan has become really competitive in recent times. With many companies releasing very good mid-range smartphones, there is hardly any phone that you can go wrong with. In this ultra-competitive environment, Vivo is releasing an enticing mid-range smartphone for the Pakistani consumer market. The latest addition to the Y series comes with a whopping 20MP AI selfie camera. This camera comes with special AI features which help users capture the picture-perfect moment in any scenario.

Design

The phone features a stylish edge to edge 6.22 inch Halo display with a notch at the top, with an impressive 88.6% screen to body ratio. The phone comes in Starry Black and Nebula Purple colors, all encapsulated in a curved 3D body to provide a premium and immersive feel.

Camera

The highlighting feature of this phone is its camera, Y95’s 20MP front camera is equipped with AI algorithms which can detect the age, gender, skin tone, skin texture and lighting environment of its subject and can then enhance and tune the image accordingly to provide the best selfie experience. Moreover, the phone also comes with a dual rear-camera set-up, with the primary camera being 13 MP and the secondary being 2MP, which is used for capturing depth-of-field information to create a ‘bokeh-effect’. Another amazing feature of this phone is the ‘Google lens’. Vivo, by collaborating with Google, has integrated the Google Lens directly into its camera app. Using Google’s industry-leading machine learning algorithms coupled with some of its own, Vivo’s Y95 can identify objects from the pictures taken and can then perform web-searches on those objects.
