This vintage mobile museum houses 3,500 mobile phones

People around the world have different collection habits, some collect coins, guns, while others collect vintage cars. Same goes with Stefan Polgari a twenty-six year-old online marketing specialist hailing from Slovakia. Stefan has a grand museum of smartphones which numbers up to 3,500.

The museum can be visited by anyone. However, before visiting the museum one must need to get an appointment otherwise the entry to the museum will be halted.

Mr. Stefan has built this museum in two rooms inside his own house. The museum holds a large collection of vintage smartphones such as Siemens S4 model and Nokia’s most iconic mobile the 3310. Stefan Polgari has been collecting these phones for more than two years.

While talking to a media outlet he said, “It’s hard to say which phone is most valuable to me, perhaps the Nokia 350i Star Wars edition”.

Similarly, another man named Samuel West hailing from an EU country, Sweden, has his own museum which he has dedicated to failed gadgets. The 43-year old collector has collected almost 51 failed gadgets or products which include perfumes launched by motorcycle manufacturing giant Harley Davidson, Googles Glass with AR support and built in camera, and Newton, a personal digital assistant developed by Apple.

According to Samuel West, the purpose behind building this museum is very simple. He said, “We know that 80 to 90 percent of innovation projects, they fail and you never read about them. And if there’s anything we can do from these failures, is learn from them.”
