VentureDive – The Best Place to work in Pakistan

Last week, VentureDive won two awards at the Best Place to Work Awards (BPTW) Gala 2019: Best place to work – IT industry & The most fun place to work – Overall.

Every alternate year, the PSHRM, powered by Engage Human Resources, conducts the Best Place to Work Surveys in corporate organizations and businesses all across Pakistan. They send out invitations to companies and the latter can opt to either accept or decline the invitation. The objective of this study is to help organizations in Pakistan transform themselves into the Best Place to Work, by a process of discovering their strengths and areas of improvement through benchmarking against other organizations.

This year, there were multiple award categories. Employees from a total of 55 companies participated in the survey. It was in-depth, anonymous and asked the employees to rate their employer organizations on different scales, in different categories. The questions revolved around leadership, work environment, compensation, colleagues, management, personal and professional growth of the employee and a number of other factors that determine employees’ happiness and satisfaction at the workplace.

VentureDive competed against all the top companies in Pakistan from multiple industries. The participants were FMCGs, Consulting firms, Banks, Pharma companies, Telecom companies, and more.

“Information Technology industry (like most others) is not about technology, it is all about the ‘people’. VentureDive believes in leading the way for HR in Pakistan’s IT Industry, to be the trailblazer in modern HR philosophy, practice, and standards. These awards not only represent our commitment to that mission, but reaffirms our resolve to put VentureDive and Pakistan at the forefront of the Global Arena, and have lots of FUN while we are at it.” Said by Anas Ahmed, Vice President HR & Corporate Communications, VentureDive.

When we started VentureDive seven years ago, one aspect of our stated mission was that we want to make a positive difference in our colleagues’ lives. And when you stick to this mission and align your initiatives in this direction, the natural direction is to have a world-class workplace.

We dedicate this award to our people, our colleagues. As a workplace can only be good as the people you have.

I also want to congratulate our HR team who have made it all possible.

And lastly, we dedicate this award to the IT industry in Pakistan. Beating all the incumbents from different industries and being recognized as the most fun company to work speaks volumes of the IT industry’s culture and how we as a collective unit are at the forefront of leading change in the way we work. Onwards and upwards!” – CEO, Atif Azim
