Ufone Launches its Mobile Trade Program Following Mobilink

Ufone is one of the Pakistani telcos which applied for, and won the 3G auction arranged by PTA a couple of days back. While there is still time in the full-scale implementation of 3G services across a major part of the country, telecom service providers are on the track to equip their subscribers with next-gen technology-compatible smartphones, and Ufone has just announced a program in regards to the same idea.

Announced via a Twitter update, Ufone has kicked off a Mobile Trade Program of its own that offers Ufone subscribers a chance at exchanging their current 2G phones with a new 3G-enabled smartphone with paying the difference amount on top.

The offering is currently available at Ufone’s Customer Service Centers in:

  • Ufone Customer Service Center, Clifton, Karachi
  • Ufone Customer Service Center, Gulberg, Lahore
  • Ufone Customer Service Center, F-7, Islamabad

Currently there is no immediate information available on what brands of smartphones are being offered. Stay tuned to this space, as we will inform our readers about that as soon as more details are made public.

ICYMI, Mobilink already has a similar program in place for the subscribers at its Blue Area Service Center in Islamabad, and a 2GB of monthly internet package also comes bundled with the offer for 3 months.
