University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore has named a newly built boys hostel as ‘Abdul Sattar Edhi Hall’ in a tribute to the late humanitarian and philanthropist who died last week.

A Resolution was passed unanimously by all the attendees during a meeting of Deans and Heads of departments with the university’s Vice Chancellor (VC) Prof. Dr. Fazal Ahmad Khalid.
Prof Dr. Fazal, on the occasion, highlighted that there is an immediate need of continuing Edhi’s mission. He remarked, “His (Edhi’s) services at the national and international level would always be remembered. The unparalleled enthusiasm and efforts from Edhi in fulfilling his mission is an example for all to follow”.
University of Health Sciences (UHS) VC Maj Gen (r) Prof. Muhammad Aslam and University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) VC Prof. Talat Naseer Pasha were also present on the occasion.
