UC Browser captures one-third of Pakistan’s Browser market share

UC Browser, a new player in the browser wars, is now reportedly responsible for 33.76% monthly page views in Pakistan.

According to StatCounter website, UC Browser captured a remarkable 33.76% monthly page view market share this October in Pakistan. The developers, UCWeb, consider this a great achievement after being able to gain respectable dominance in China, India and Indonesia, the three most populous emerging countries.

Those percentage numbers mean that 1 in every 3 mobile pages viewed in Pakistan is accessed through UC Browser.

Kenny Ye, Managing Director of UCWeb International Business Department, said,

“Pakistan is an important player of South Asia market, and we are glad to become a mobile internet gateway for its users. We will continue improving our products and providing better experience to Pakistan users”,

The popularity of UC Browser in Pakistan attributes to its continuous product localization that caters to underserved user demands, technologies that speed up web browsing as well as the upsurge of the smartphone.
