Uber Pitch 2019 is all set, here is how to apply

Uber has started accepting applications of its Uber Pitch 2019 program. If you are an aspiring entrepreneur, here is how you can apply for the program.

Uber Pitch is a platform for upcoming digital startups of the country. The platform has been brought forward through the collaboration of Uber, Ignite and NIC to support the startups budding from Pakistan’s landscape. The multi-round competition sees startups from across the country which compete to get to the finals and win the competition. The Uber Pitch 2019 would be accepting applications till August 23, 2019.

How to apply?

To apply for the competitions, the aspiring startups need to register by putting up an online application through an online form. Once the initial evaluations of the applications are done, the shortlisted startups would be invited to participate in a 3-Day Pitch Camp. The Pitch Camps would be held in NICs across Pakistan and at COLABS Lahore. The Pitch Camp will include different trainers and mentors from Uber and School of Leadership, who would help startups in maturing their pitches and ideas as they advance to the Qualifier Round. In the Qualifier Round, the startups would present their startup ideas to a panel of judges.

Who can apply?

Although the competition is open to startups from across the country, Uber has also listed eligibility criteria about the startups who can apply to the competition. The criteria include the existence of a Minimum Viable Product and that the startup should be solving a local/global problem through the use of technology. What do the winners get?

Although there are different perks for the participating startups, an important one being the 3-day mentorship Pitch Camps in which experts from industry would help the entrepreneurs to improve their pitches. The finalists of the competition would get a chance to pitch their ideas to investors in the industry during n in-car Finale. As far as the final winner of the competition is concerned, there would only be one final winner of the competition. The winner startup would be awarded a cash prize and Uber credits. The startup would also get incubation at the local NIC of its region.
