Twitter is merging its Moments, trends, search and live videos into a new “Explore” tab.
Previously, the online news and social networking website, Twitter, had separate tabs for each. Trends show you what topics are being discussed at the moment, Moments capture the most popular stories for users to catch up, search helps you find anything, and live videos show live happenings around the world. It reads,
“Nothing is going away – we’re just making it easier to find what you want. Explore will begin rolling out today on Twitter for iOS, and in the coming weeks on Twitter for Android. Make sure you have the latest version of your app to check it out. And of course, we will continue to listen to your feedback to make Explore even better, based on your thoughts and some ideas we have up our sleeve!”
Twitter tested the Explore feature with a few users and the results were positive. So, it has announced to make it easier for users to find everything at one place to make the experience simpler and engaging. Users will be able to find trends, Moments, search, and the best of live video, all within the new Explore tab.
The new Explore tab has live-streams at the top of the display, below which you can find trends and Moments. Also, there is a search bar right at the top of this section to make things simpler and easier.
This update has started to roll out to iOS users and will be available for Android devices in the coming weeks.
