Twitter in a fresh move has updated its platform and now allows its users to mute notifications from anonymous or unknown accounts. The social media company has taken this action to make its platform user-friendly and also to curb malicious and disparaging behavior from its platform.
The company had announced back in March that it would give its users a new update, enabling the users to limit notifications from ambiguous accounts such as accounts that don’t have a profile picture. Tech analysts have also applauded Twitter for taking stern action against cyber-bullying.
With this new update in effect, users can now avoid getting notifications from the accounts they don’t follow. The new advanced filter settings feature will also let users downgrade low-quality notifications.

Twitter till now has suspended almost 360,000 accounts in a crackdown against terrorism and is committed to doing more to filter out content that helps spread extremist narrative.
Apart from going after extremist content and stopping cyber-bullying, Twitter is also trying to obtain soccer World Cup videos from Fox, to entertain its users during soccer World Cup. Moreover, Twitter has also allowed super steamers to earn money using its platform.
