TiE Lahore Chapter, a non-profit organization fostering entrepreneurship with 61 chapters in 18 different countries worldwide hosted a talk on Legal Eagles-Navigating the Legal Path: For Tech Startups and Angel Investors LUMS on Friday, September 23, 2016.
The keynote speaker for the program was Saad Rasool. He is a lawyer based in Lahore. Rasool is a lecturer, column writer on judicial and policy issues. Rasool has also served as Vice President in the Global structured finance & investment-banking group of Merill Lynch in New York.
Hira Arif was the moderator for the event. She is a Legal Consultant and HR Manager at TXB and Lajwanti. She is also the founder of a startup E-Panchayat.
The talk was thrilling and covered the huge perspectives of Legal issues and regulatory compliance for startups, laws governing the angel investment business in Pakistan and international best practices for startups and angel investors.
Mr. Humayun Mazhar, President TiE Lahore Chapter shared the future roadmap for the chapter. The talk ended on high note with active participation from the relevant circles, academia, professionals, startup founders, incubators, and accelerators. The audience applauded the efforts and greatly appreciated the format of the program.
