This selfie drone lives in your phone case

This year’s CES is full of surprises and unique product. One such product is a phone case which turns itself into a drone too. The company, AEE Aviation, has unveiled this phone case cum selfie drone at CES 2018 in Las Vegas.

In partnership with SELFY camera LLC, AEE Aviation technology has announced the introduction of a smartphone case with an embedded drone that can take selfies. The company describes the gadget as the first device of its kind and first of its class.

Mike Kahn, AEE’s Chief Marketing Officer said that

“With a touch of a button, AEE SELFLY springs to life and flies a mission to capture your selfies from high above, from tight spaces or from a distance, as never possible before. It gives the user options and angles beyond the arm’s length of a selfie stick and is much more convenient than a drone. As a case of your smartphone, AEE SELFLY will always be with you to capture amazing selfies.”

The “AEE SELFY” is a mobile phone case that is nearly a 4 to 6-inch as the size of the smartphone. This phone case can turn into a drone. It’s a foldable design with 10mm in its thickness. Its foldable wings enhance the portability of the drone from one place to another. The drone has high-end stabilization technology and the device flies at the user command to take selfies or videos.

The drone can capture selfies from the high above and due to its small size, it can move into tight spaces. The AEE SELFY is easy to use and with the help of the smartphone app, it captures the perfect shots. It gives a full 1080p high definition video. This drone has a 13MP camera that supports capturing wide panoramic photos.

AEE SELFY has the flight duration of 4 minutes and it can be recharged approximately in 30 minutes. The selfie drone is expected to be shipped during the first quarter of 2018. It will be available on Amazon as well on other consumer electronics outlets.

The suggested price in the U.S is $130 which includes the packaging of smartphone case and two batteries with a separate charging hub available for $30.
