Instagram, the Facebook-owned company just copied the most criticised feature of Facebook. Instagram gives users the ability to download their data. The company had been teasing the tool for a few weeks now, and now the company finally released the data export feature, and the best part is that it does more than just let you retrieve a copy of your filtered photos.
All Instagram users can now access the data export tool from the website, with iOS and Android support. During the export process, Instagram tells you what you’re getting, you’ll have offline copies of your photos, videos, any stories you’ve archived, comments, direct messages, and your profile info.
If you want to check out Data Download feature for yourself, here are the easy steps to do it:
As Facebook is having a hard time because of the unending scandals. Instagram, on the other hand, has not been infected by the Facebook furors. In fact, Instagram stories have now more users than Snapchat.
Without links and resharing, Facebook’s Instagram is immune to a lot of the fake news and politics that have made Facebook exhausting. Instagram seems to think that rapid feature development is the best distraction.
Along with the Data Download feature, it’s testing a Snapchat QR code-style feature called Instagram Nametags.
