This Finnish smartphone maker just made the world’s most “secure” smartphone

Usually when the word secure comes around, one instantly thinks about BlackBerry. But we have a new manufacturer in town boasting about the world’s most “secure” smartphone powered by Android 9 Pie OS with the highest “cyber security requirements.”

Bittium Tough Mobile 2 features multilayered security integrated in hardware and source code as well as next-generation tamper detection to identify any possible data theft from the smartphone and spying. The company says that this phone is suitable for both personal and professional use with encryption on the data stored on the device as well as transactions occurring with other machines over the network.

The phone has been entirely designed and manufactured in Finland. It features a hardware based privacy mode which disables microphones, cameras, Bluetooth and sensor sensitivity for added security. The manufacturer is promising better security updates than other OEMs and they are offering custom software and hardware solutions for firms to hand out the phone to their employees.

In regards to raw specifications, Tough Mobile 2 is powered by a Snapdragon 670 processor paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage which is expandable via microSD card. It has a single 12MP back camera which means you won’t be able to take bokehs or be able to use telephoto lens capabilities. At the front we have a 5MP sharpshooter and the speakers. It has a Dual Sim Functionality and has a 3000 mAh battery.

Bittium Tough Mobile 2 is available for €1,550 (PKR 263,127).
