This company took a 192 gigapixels photo of Shanghai

We are talking about smartphones with 48MP cameras whereas a company in Shanghai just took a photo of such a high resolution that you can see people’s faces from kilometers away. While today camera photos have never exceeded megapixels, the photo doesn’t just exceed megapixels but it has a total of 195 gigapixels.

The picture itself is very big and according to the company called BigPixel, more than 8 million people have explored it. The company says their photos are 2000 more precise than any ordinary camera nowadays whereas the photo in question is the third largest photo taken anywhere in the world.

You may be wondering how they managed to achieve this feat? They used image-stitching technology on a large collection of images which they took over a span of months. The result was their first ever panorama with over a billion pixels and the ability to zoom in beyond your expectations.

This photo is also currently the largest one ever to be taken in Asia. If you are interested in seeing the photo yourself, head over to this link here.
