According to a well-known expert on smartphones, Samsung has chosen to sell the Galaxy S23 series of smartphones from the following year in four different colours, much like they did with this year’s Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus, and Galaxy S22 Ultra. It would appear that Samsung has made some changes to the colour options that are currently available for purchase on its flagship devices since all four options have been named.
Ross Young of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC), who claims to have information on Samsung’s intended colors for the Galaxy S23 series, says that he has retrieved this information from a close source.
The normal Galaxy S23, the Galaxy S23 Plus or Galaxy S23+, and the Galaxy S23 Ultra are all anticipated to be part of Samsung’s next Galaxy S23 series, which is currently scheduled to be released sometime in the first quarter of 2019. Leaked CAD-based renderings have previously demonstrated that the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra will diverge from their respective predecessors to a greater degree than the Galaxy S23 will.
Young claims that Samsung has only developed four color options for their upcoming flagship smartphones. However, it would not come as a surprise to us if these were the colors that Samsung offers for sale, meaning that these are the colors that can be purchased from other retailers and that Samsung planned to provide more colors through its Online Exclusive range.
As a point of comparison, Samsung offers the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22 Plus in Graphite, Cream, Sky Blue, and Violet colorways, however, these colorways are only available if you purchase either model straight from Samsung. Similarly, the Galaxy S22 Ultra is only available in the colors Graphite, Sky Blue, and Red when purchased through the online store.
According to rumors, Samsung is planning to launch the Galaxy S23 series in colors including beige, black, green, and light pink. In other words, it looks like Beige has taken the place of Phantom White as the color option for Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold4, which may be available in this tone.
Unfortunately, Young does not know if this is the truth; yet, it seems unlikely that Samsung would design a new shade only a few months after releasing Beige. On a related note, Young’s forecasts for the color options of the Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Z Flip4 — which he disclosed back in May — turned out to be accurate.
