The Pokémon Company quietly launches a new Pokémon game

In a surprise move, The Pokémon company has launched a new Pokémon game for both Android and iOS users. The game, called Pokémon duel, is a digital board game and incorporates some mechanics from the main Pokémon series games.

The game is similar to a multiplayer released in Japan last year, known as Pokémon Comaster. The game works on simple principles. Each player is given six Pokémon and the objective is to get to opponent’s goal. The player who makes it to the goal of the opponent first wins.

The six Pokémon are given different MPs and the number of moves they can commit during one turn depends on their MP. If two opposing Pokémon come against each other on the board then a battle can be drawn between them to knock out one of them and clear the path.

Knocked out Pokémon are sent to the Pokémon center and are returned after they are healed. The player which first reaches the opponent’s goal by navigating the board wins the game. Users have the option to play with either AI or challenge someone online using multiplayer mode.

The game is currently available for both Android and iOS devices. So if you think it looks interesting, go ahead and download it from Play Store or iTunes Store.
