The Nest I/O is bringing back 021Disrupt, a celebration of technology and innovation

021Disrupt, the flagship conference of The Nest I/O is scheduled to take place on 10th & 11th November in Karachi.

The two-day conference aims to strengthen the startup ecosystem of Pakistan by bringing together investors, entrepreneurs, mentors, influencers, students, and professionals, all under one roof. With over 60 speakers, 700 participants, and social media reach of 9.6 million, the first edition of 021Disrupt created a ripple in the local tech ecosystem. This year, the speaker line-up boasts diversity and the conference is expected to have a bigger footprint.

The idea behind 021Disrupt is not only to introduce young entrepreneurs to topics of global reference but also broadcast to the world the potential that lies within the entrepreneurial ecosystem of Pakistan. The conference will include keynote speeches, lightning talks, panel discussions, workshops, office hours, and networking opportunities for all participants. This year, 021 Disrupt is introducing a new feature called Rapid Fire Rounds, where a select number of entrepreneurs will pitch their ideas to foster potential business partnerships and investment.

Some of the international speakers lined-up for 021Disrupt 2018 include Badr Ward, creator of Lamsa – a children’s edutainment app with over 12 million downloads; Chris Rogers, Partner at Lumia Capital who co-founded Nextel Communications which was acquired for $35B; Jessica Berling, Co-Founder, CoStruct, Paul Papadimitriou; Founder of Intelligencr – an innovation scouting firm with clients around the world including Microsoft, Alcatel-Lucent, Fujitsu, Canonical, SES, SABMiller, Criteo, Unify, Tumblr, Evernote, the European Union; Alina Gratschner Managing Partner, Accelerate Korea, and many more! Pakistani speakers include luminaries like serial entrepreneur Rehan Jalil Founder of Elastica, Mudassir Shekha Founder of Careem and Ghias Khan CEO of Engro.

President P@SHA and Founder of The Nest I/O, Jehan Ara, shares,

“We did not expect 021Disrupt to be as successful as it turned out to be. The best thing that came out of 021Disrupt last year was that it forced the global entrepreneurial community to recognize and embrace the talent that lies within Pakistan. The conference did not only promote the startup ecosystem of Pakistan but also pulled in VC’s from around the world and got them interested in Pakistani startups. This year we aim to achieve a lot more than that.”

021Disrupt is all set to provide an immersive experience for all its diverse attendees, providing them with an opportunity to engage in conversations about global challenges and how the world aims to solve them with technology and innovation.

Speaker details, program agenda and ticket information are available on the official website of 021Disrupt.
