The entry-level Galaxy A10 makes a grand entrance in Pakistan

After a good number of leaks and renders, Samsung finally launched the Galaxy A10 last month. The entry-level smartphone is also available in Pakistan now, and what’s more, it might just be the best value for your money as far as exciting smartphones are concerned.

Powered by the relatively low-cost Exynos 7884 system-on-chip and an octa-core processor (1.6 GHz dual-core and 1.35 GHz hexa-core), the Galaxy A10 features 2 GB of RAM and 32GB worth of storage, which can be further expanded to 512GB via microSD card. The lithium-ion battery capacity is a decent 3,400 mAh.

The display isn’t exactly mind-blowing, but then again, it’s what you would expect from an entry-level smartphone. Featuring a 6.2-inch Super AMOLED display with a reasonable resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, the A10 does fairly well for itself. The bezel-less display also hosts the trademark waterdrop notch at the top.

The 13MP main camera has an aperture of f/1.9 with digital zoom, auto flash, and face detection capabilities, while the front camera has a resolution of 5MP with an aperture of f/2.0.

While it does sport a standard set of sensors which include light, proximity, and accelerometer, the glaring absence of a fingerprint sensor is noteworthy. However, it does compensate for that by supporting ‘Face Unlock’.

The smartphone features the Android Pie 9.0 operating system along with Samsung’s One UI. It will be available in blue, red and gray colors.

Ultimately, the Galaxy A10 is a decent device with several powerful features that make it ideal for multitasking. The cameras allow you to capture fairly excellent quality pictures, and the storage capacity is sufficient for large amounts of data. With a price tag of PKR 21,500, it is an amazing option as far as entry-level devices are concerned.
