The company does not spy for China: Huawei Founder speaks up

The Founder of Huawei has broken ice speaking on the west concerns that the company might be spying for China.

Ren Zhengfei, the Founder of famous tech company from China, has denied concerns which mention that the company could be sharing its users data with the Chinese government. Ren mentioned that the company strongly believes in the privacy of their user’s data and that any requests of data from the Chinese government would be turned down. Huawei had “never received any request from any government to provide improper information”, the famous US-based journal Bloomberg quoted Ren as saying.

Ren Zhengfei held a meeting with several of western reporters at the company’s headquarter Tuesday mentioning that these type of allegations have limited Huawei’s access to global markets as it went about innovating the telecommunication sector. “If they don’t want Huawei to be in some markets, we can scale down a bit. As long as we can survive and feed our employees, there’s a future for us, ” Ren mentioned.

Huawei has seen immense growth ever since the company was founded. The company saw its foundation laid back in 1987 with a capital of $5,000 and three employees. The company now stands as the third largest smartphone manufacturer in the world and is the market leader for telecommunication equipment like WiFi routers.
