The Best that Google Launched at its I/O Event

When he took the stage at the company’s annual developer’s conference, the CEO of Google, Sundar Pichai was clear about one thing, that company would now be focusing on AI ( Artificial Intelligence). Here is what was launched at the event:

    • New Chip for the AI in the Cloud
      Google also went to launch a new computing architecture with a focus on artificial intelligence. The company launched a new chip called the Cloud TPU (Tensor Processing Unit) that can be used to run and train neurons.
    • Google Lens
      Google Lens allows the user to search the web for what they are seeing through their camera on their phone.
    • New Google Home Capabilities
      Google Home service was launched six months back, but in the event, Google’s CEO said that Google Home would be receiving more update such as being reminded of upcoming events.
    • Google Assistant on iOS
      Users of iOS can now enjoy the capabilities of the Google Assistant on their devices with a deep integration with Apple’s own Siri.
    • Smart Replies for Gmail
      Gmail now comes with smart replies which allow you to quickly send back replies as per the contents of your mail.
    • Easier Photo Sharing in Google Photos
      If you keep forgetting to share pictures, then this new Google Photos feature has covered your back. When you take a picture with someone’s face in it, the app will remind you to send it to them.
    • Google for Jobs
      Google now has the option to search for specific jobs with its machine learning capabilities able to pick out jobs for you as per your search needs.
    • Android O Availability in Beta
      If one is interested in experiencing the next iteration of the Android operating system, then they can now download it on their devices. It comes with many welcome features such as better battery management.
    • Standalone VR + WorldSense
      Google will also launch a new form of virtual reality that does not need a phone or other unit to power the VR headset. It will also have a feature called WorldSense that will track one’s position in the real world without the need for external sensors.
