Entrepreneurship is today’s buzzword. Everyone wants to be the cool guy with a startup. There are a lot of guides out there that can teach you how to be an entrepreneur. But some people disagree that entrepreneurship can’t be taught. According to a research done by Gallup, an innate entrepreneurial talent increases your chances to be successful. Whether entrepreneurship is an innate ability or not is another discussion, but the fact of the matter is to be an entrepreneur, you need to have the curiosity to seek out problems, to find scalable solutions, and most importantly, the acumen to turn your solution into a sustainable business.
There are a lot of dos and don’ts to being a successful entrepreneur but the question that often gets asked is what is the one trait all successful entrepreneurs have in common? We did some digging. Went through the advice given by successful entrepreneurs like Elon Musk, Bill Gates, Oprah Winfrey, and Jeff Bezos. We came to the conclusion that all successful entrepreneurs have this one trait in common:
They are proactive
You can’t be lazy and be an entrepreneur. It’s just not in the job description. Being quick, alert, and proactive will help you prioritize your tasks, be one step ahead of your competitors, keep your product state-of-the-art, and allow you to seek out potential business and investment opportunities.
If you can’t be pro-active your entrepreneurial journey will be very short-lived.
