Telenor Youth Summit 2014 has kicked off in Oslo, Norway which will continue till Dec 11, 2014. Sadaf Amin and Syed Maaz Imran, two of the 28 young opinion leaders and social entrepreneurs, have been selected from Pakistan to present their ideas at the summit.
Sadaf Amin, 22, is a student of Master of Science in Agricultural Engineering at the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad. Sadaf’s idea is named “Mobile Agriculture Farming System” which uses mobile technology to manage farms from anywhere including irrigation control, fertilizer injection and other growth conditions.
Syed Maaz Imran, 21, is a student of Bachelors of National University of Science and Technology, School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences. Maaz’ idea is a website named eTutionHub which he started with one other student to provide online education along with synchronous student teacher feedback. Together, they have given online tutoring classes to many O and A level students from Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Turkey and Pakistan.
The second ever Telenor Youth Summit 2014 is being held in partnership with the Nobel Peace Center. It aims to provide a platform for youth across Asia and Europe to share and discuss ideas on impact of mobile and digital communication on our lives, fuel inclusive growth and cross-border dialogue.
Telenor Youth Summit will be a great networking opportunity for students to share, discuss and engage with each other, renowned leaders and experts from around the world to further their ideas for social entrepreneurship.
