Telenor rolls out 4G Network in 6 cities with a limited time free service

Telenor 4G

Telenor has officially launched its 4G service in Pakistan’s 6 cities including Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Multan, Peshawar, and Swat.

Telenor was officially awarded the 4G spectrum last month, after paying an advance tax of $39.5 million, which they had refused to pay previously.

According to Telenor, their 4G network should be up and running in the aforementioned six cities. However, they have also mentioned that users will have to get their SIMs replaced in order to access Telenor’s 4G network. Furthermore, their handsets should have 850 MHz compatible 4G GSM.

For now, the telco is offering a limited-time free of cost service to their early bird users. In order to start using Telenor’s 4G, you can get your SIM replaced from any of the Telenor Service Centers in Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Peshawar, and Swat. The service would work for both prepaid and postpaid users.

We haven’t been able to gather any feedback from users yet. If you have used Telenor’s 4G let us know your experience.
