Telenor Pakistan has launched country’s first mobile-based music streaming service in collaboration with Wimp Music. According to the details made public by the company, the songs library of Telenor Music portal consists of over 800,000 Pakistani, Bollywood, and English songs. The service can be availed by any Telenor subscriber on both feature-phones and smartphones, and it will also work on Wi-Fi alongside Telenor’s 2G and 3G networks.
Telenor first hinted about its upcoming projects, which included this streaming service alongside other initiatives such as Open Mind, EasyPaisa-based online payment gateway, at the Customer First Day it celebrated earlier this year.

The Telenor Music service comes in two types of plans: Basic and Premium. Both types of plans offer unlimited streaming, multiple devices support, user favorites, and search suggestions. Premium plan, on the other hand, also lets the subscribers create playlists, sync songs offline, and avail playback in high sound quality:

Users of Telenor Music streaming service will be charged a service fee apart from the data charges that will be incurred if the subscriber is on 2G/3G network. There are three tiers for users to choose from while subscribing for the service, i.e. on Daily, Weekly, and Monthly basis. The charges vary according to the Basic and Premium plan as well:
Telenor Music Subscription Process
The usage of the streaming service is free for Telenor subscribers for the first week. The free trial can be activated by dialing *3333#. A streaming limit of 30MB will be applicable during this 7-day trial period.

Mobile Apps
Telenor Music app is available for the users of both Android and iOS platforms. Upon installing and launching the app, user will be asked to subscribe to the service first, if they haven’t done it already.
