Telenor Pakistan, the country’s foremost telecom and digital services provider, has launched the pilot for a new retailer assisted online shopping service for the masses which fully integrates with its existing sales & distribution channel and lets customers in the far-flung areas of Pakistan shop from online stores.
Reinforcing the company’s vision of empowering the people of Pakistan and moving towards a more connected society, Easy Bazaar gives consumers the opportunity to place orders on online stores directly through the BVS (Biometric Verification System) devices placed at Telenor’s local physical points of sales.Customers can then have their product delivered directly to the retailer’s store to be picked up later on.
Telenor Pakistan’s retailers give complete assistance and information about online shopping which includes various omnichannel features such as online catalogs, digital payment through Easypaisa, cash on delivery, special discounts and many more.
Easy Bazaar pilot is being launched in 10 cities across Central and North Pakistan. The launch took place against the background of a comprehensive analysis of the online shopping trends in the country with an aim to bridge the gap between the growing online marketplace and hard to reach people in both rural and semi-urban segments of our society.
Bilal Kazmi, Chief Marketing Officer Telenor Pakistan, said,
“The launch of Telenor Pakistan’s Easy Bazaar stems from our vision of enabling and empowering our society by providing them with easy one-stop-solution for online shopping, this is another step towards putting our customers first by staying true to our motto of ‘Jo Har Pakistani Chahay’ and offering a differentiated and valued experience in a domain that will become increasingly relevant.”
Sardar Muhammad Abubakr, the Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer Telenor Pakistan, said
“We are committed to holding our position at the forefront of customer-focused transformation in Pakistan. Easy Bazaar is one of Telenor Pakistan’s several initiatives within the budding e-commerce space, being built on leveraging our physical points of sale, for customers interested in using such points of sale to help in online awareness generation, placing online orders through our BVS devices or collecting orders already placed online from our retailers.”
With Telenor’s assisted online shopping services like Easy Bazaar, they can potentially be a game changer in the rural and semi-urban domain as a large portion of our society either does not have access to the internet, or do not know how to order online, or can’t be reached by the delivery services.
The launch of Easy Bazaar underlines the company’s purpose of connecting the people of Pakistan to what matters most to them and reiterating its commitment to empowering societies.
