TechStars Global Startup Weekend, a fifty-four hours intense sprint, is coming to Lahore. Scheduled to take place at National Incubation Center (NIC) Lahore from 16th to 18th November, the Startup Weekend 2018 will offer an unparalleled entrepreneurial learning experience for budding startups of the city.
Powered by Google, TechStars Global Startup weekend is an internationally recognized competition that offers a platform to entrepreneurs for presenting their ideas, hone their entrepreneurial skills, and execute their plans. Participants are given the opportunity to interact with the renowned and adept entrepreneurs of the industry, and subsequently augmenting their team-building and networking skills. The winning team will have a chance to pursue its entrepreneurial idea through fast track incubation at NIC itself.
In the first round, participants will have 60 seconds to pitch their ideas. After a poll, 20 to 30 ideas will qualify for the remaining rounds. In the next round, participants will form teams and receive rigorous counseling and mentoring sessions with acclaimed entrepreneurs and coaches. In the final round, participants will present their business models followed by a critical Q/A session.
The Startup Weekend offers not only a networking opportunity for participating entrepreneurs but allows them to compete with global contenders from other Startup Weekends across the world. NIC Lahore, a public-private partnership of Ministry of IT & Telecom, Ignite, Fatima Ventures, and LUMS, will host the event.
